Creative Arts University · Data Center and Index
Terms of Service
These draft terms describe the responsibilities associated with authorized use of the Creative Arts University Academy Data Center and Index. They must be approved by the responsible organization before being relied upon as finalized legal terms.
1. Operator, scope and eligibility
The contracting platform operator is CREATIVE ARTS UNIVERSITY LIMITED, a private company limited by shares incorporated in Uganda on 17 February 2026 under the Companies Act 2012 and registered with the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) under company registration number 80034406718367 (URA TIN 1057001675, provisional). Postal address: P.O. Box 204228, Kampala GPO, Uganda. Access is intended for participants authorized by the institution and must comply with applicable law and institutional requirements.
Minimum age, capacity requirements and any guardian authorization for minors require institutional and legal confirmation. These terms do not grant admission, academic credit, a qualification, or access to future services.
2. Accounts and Google authentication
Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and use only an account you are authorized to control. You are responsible for your authorized activity and should promptly report suspected account compromise.
Google authentication is an optional sign-in method and is also subject to Google's applicable terms. Signing in with Google or creating an account does not automatically grant institutional permissions. The institution may require an invitation, identity checks or approval before access is activated.
3. Institutional roles and access permissions
Access depends on institutional roles and the permissions assigned to records and services. Users must stay within their authorized scope and must not attempt to obtain additional permissions without approval, share accounts or bypass access restrictions.
The institution may change permissions when responsibilities or authorization change. Access to one application does not automatically authorize access to another.
4. Acceptable use and prohibited activities
Use the Data Center and Index for authorized educational, research, administrative and institutional purposes. Maintain accurate records and respect applicable institutional policies.
Do not attempt unauthorized access, extract restricted information, misuse personal or institutional data, impersonate others, upload malicious files, interfere with services, falsify records or audit information, or use the platform for unlawful, abusive or discriminatory activity. Do not disclose credentials or circumvent technical safeguards.
Automated access, imports and integrations must be authorized and must respect provider conditions and platform limits. Availability of an Index entry does not imply that a scoring service or methodology is active.
5. Uploaded content and intellectual property
You must have the rights or authorization needed to upload, link, use and share content. Uploading does not itself transfer ownership; ownership remains subject to applicable law, institutional policies and any existing agreements.
By submitting content, you authorize its storage and processing for the institutional purpose and sharing within the access permissions you are authorized to apply. Any broader license or publication rights require separate agreement and legal review.
External research and linked resources remain subject to their owners' rights and licenses. An external reference or open-access link is not permission to republish copyrighted material without a valid license.
6. Academic integrity and research ethics
Attribute sources accurately, respect copyright and research licenses, and follow applicable academic integrity, research ethics and participant-consent requirements. Do not submit plagiarized work, fabricate findings or misrepresent authorship, qualifications or research approval.
Research search results and generated citations should be checked against original sources. A platform record is not an independent endorsement of research quality or an ethics approval.
7. Privacy and confidentiality
Handle personal, academic, financial and other restricted information only for authorized purposes. Do not make private records public or share them outside approved channels. Check permissions before exporting, downloading or linking records.
The Privacy Policy describes personal-information handling. Report privacy concerns or unauthorized disclosures to privacy@creativeartsuniversity.com.
8. Suspension and termination
The institution may restrict, suspend or terminate access where authorization ends, security is at risk or misuse is suspected, subject to applicable law and institutional procedures. Where appropriate, concerns may be reviewed through the institution's established processes.
Loss of access does not automatically remove institutional records, content shared with others or audit history. Account closure and deletion requests are assessed under applicable privacy and recordkeeping obligations. Contact privacy@creativeartsuniversity.com with questions or a review request.
9. Availability and third-party services
Services may be interrupted by maintenance, technical faults, security events or third-party outages. Continuous availability, error-free operation and a particular service level are not promised in this draft.
External sources and connected services are governed by their own conditions. Users should verify important information against authoritative sources. Planned integrations and future Index functions are not a promise of delivery or availability.
10. Liability and applicable legal provisions
Rights and obligations remain subject to applicable law. Nothing in these draft terms is intended to exclude rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Any warranty provisions, liability limits, remedies or dispute procedures must be determined and approved through legal review. No financial liability cap, waiver or binding dispute-resolution provision is invented here.
Uganda is the operator's country of incorporation and primary legal jurisdiction. These terms are subject to the laws of Uganda and the applicable laws governing each service, including any mandatory rights or obligations that apply in other jurisdictions. Service-specific dispute procedures remain subject to legal review.
11. Changes and approval
Approved changes should be communicated through appropriate institutional channels. Before finalization, administrators and legal reviewers must confirm eligibility and minors' arrangements, content permissions, service-specific legal obligations, liability provisions and dispute procedures. An approved last-updated date will be displayed after review.
12. Legal Notices and Contact Information
For legal notices, legal inquiries, account concerns, data access, correction, deletion or privacy complaints relating to the Creative Arts University Data Center and Index, contact privacy@creativeartsuniversity.com.
